ElevenLabs AI Voice Generator & Legal Implications - LAB51 | All about Web3, Metaverse, AI, Crypto & NFT in Switzerland and Beyond

Hey Everyone,

ElevenLabs has had a pretty massive $80 million Series B round co-led by prominent investors including Andreessen Horowitz, former GitHub CEO Nat Friedman and entrepreneur Daniel Gross.

Eleven Labs (Poland) and Twelve Labs (South Korea) are among category leaders in their fields. ElevenLabs, is an artificial intelligence voice cloning startup if not the best among them.

Their mission is to make content universally accessible in any language & voice. But this is all about the rise of synthetic media as well, and a very different world. It’s not surprising to see a16z double down on this.

Still, an $80 million Series B is relatively serious and can truly help them scale now that they have received Unicorn status and just to be clear while the founders are Polish these people have offices in London and New York. The startup is more or less only two years old and have a very decent path to profitability compared to their peers.
